Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract in Gastonia, NC, requiring active ARRT certification with CT credential and prior CT experience.
Details
- Outpatient imaging center setting
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Wednesday through Friday
- On-call required 2 times per month
- Floating between Gastonia and Belmont locations as needed
- Equipment includes Siemens Force and GE HD750 scanners
Requirements
- Active ARRT registration with CT credential - R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT) required
- Prior CT experience required
- IV competency and experience with cross-sectional anatomy preferred
- Experience with special imaging techniques preferred
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Performs CT and related imaging procedures demonstrating cross-sectional anatomy, exercising professional judgment in service delivery
- May perform diagnostic radiologic technologist duties as required
- AIDET customer service skills required when interacting with CT imaging patients
- No time off permitted on holidays, including the day before and the day after each holiday

Work load is nice! The docs are great, and room rotations are great as well.
Cons
Charting here is terrible. You have to perform 7 steps to achieve the same goal where as if you used epic it would only require 2 steps. Plus, you must print out several pieces of paper for documenting charges instead of having someone on staff who codes the charges for you.
