Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of trauma and stroke experience for a night shift travel contract at an acute care hospital in Cedar Hill, TX.
Details
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- 9-week contract
- Experience with trauma and stroke cases required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience in a US hospital, including trauma and stroke
- Associate's Degree or equivalent required; completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program required
- Active (non-pending) state/district license required where applicable
- Current BLS (AHA only) required
- ARRT certification required
- US SSN required for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Operate CT and radiographic equipment; analyze body habitus to adjust technical factors and position patients correctly
- Review physician orders and obtain pertinent clinical data to produce high-quality radiographs while minimizing radiation exposure
- Assist physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supply management, contrast reaction response, and code support
- Schedule and complete exams and enter correct charge codes
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- BLS certification must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- CPI certification is mandated for this position
