Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of trauma and stroke experience for a 9-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Cedar Hill, DC.

Details

  • 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of CT experience in a US hospital, with trauma and stroke experience required
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent required, along with completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Active (non-pending) state/district license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
  • ARRT certification required
  • Valid US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • Two supervisor or manager references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

  • Operate CT and radiographic equipment, analyze body habitus to adjust technical factors, and produce high-quality radiographs while minimizing radiation exposure
  • Review physician orders and obtain pertinent clinical data prior to imaging
  • Assist physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supplies, contrast reaction management, and emergency response
  • Schedule and complete exams and enter correct charge codes
  • BLS certification must be from an AHA-approved provider
  • CPI certification is mandated for this position
