Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) night shift position at a Level 3 trauma hospital in Hickory, NC, with specialized experience in CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures required.
Details
- Located on the 2nd floor CVICU of a 355-bed Level 3 trauma hospital
- 8-bed CVICU unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Specializes in CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid cases
- Patient ratio is 2:1 with occasional 1:1 assignments
- Equipment includes Impella, IABP, and CRRT
- EMR: Cerner
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required, or as needed to meet facility needs
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required per scheduled rotation
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license required
- Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CCRN preferred
- Minimum 1.5 years of CVICU experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required at minimum
- Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT required
- Strong critical thinking skills essential
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation is offered twice monthly
- Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Any color scrubs are acceptable, provided they are professional in appearance
