Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic IMC (Intermediate Care) unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and IMC/PCU background.
Details
- Inpatient surgical unit providing care to adult surgical, urology, and thoracic patients at the IMC (Intermediate Care) level
- Multi-level care environment encompassing acute, telemetry, and intermediate care with continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring
- Pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care provided on the unit
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Floating required to areas of like skill set within the 11 West IMC and Med/Surg levels
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of current RN experience
- IMC/PCU experience required, with surgical patient population background
- Dysrhythmia management skills required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience at a large hospital facility (500+ beds) required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month
- ACLS and 1–2 prior travel assignments are preferred but not required
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- If listing PCU experience on your resume, be prepared to specify the type of patients cared for (e.g., surgical)
