Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU (NCCU) position at a major academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) within a large academic hospital setting (500+ bed facility)
• Patient population includes those with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, nerve and muscle diseases, and post-operative neurosurgical cases
• Care requires interfacing between the brain and other vital organ systems
• Rotating 7A/7P 12-hour shifts
• 48 hours per week
• 3 out of every 6 weekends required
• 2 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required to areas of like skill set, including ICU and IMC
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license — Maryland or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Critical Care Certification preferred
• Trauma course completion preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience required
• Experience in a 500+ bed facility required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• 13-week contract
