Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week contract at an acute care, Level III trauma facility in Colorado, working in a combined Cath and IR lab.

Details

  • Combined Cardiac Cath and IR lab with 2 suites
  • Acute care hospital setting with Level III trauma designation
  • Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, pacemaker cases, and IR patients
  • Average of 4 cases per day (combination of cath and IR)
  • Equipment includes MacLab and Siemens imaging systems
  • Epic EMR is used in this position
  • 4x9-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Approximately 10 weeknight call shifts per month
  • Weekend call (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) required approximately every 3rd weekend
  • Holiday call is required and shared among staff (1 major summer and 1 major winter holiday)
  • Call response time is 30 minutes
  • No floating to other facilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required; IR experience preferred or willingness to learn
  • Active BLS (AHA) and ACLS required
  • ARRT (CI) or RCIS via CCI required; candidates without ARRT (R) must obtain a Colorado Fluoroscopy Permit
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; a valid driver's license is required to verify permanent address
  • 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • License required if applicable — active state or compact (NLC) licensure required; pending licenses will not be accepted

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include circulating and monitoring cases, pre- and post-procedure care, and pre- and post-procedure patient calls
  • Cardiologist is in-house during the day and on call overnight
  • Scrubs (blues) are provided by the facility
  • Orientation consists of a few days during the week following CommonSpirit Health (CSH) orientation; clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation even if initial modules are completed remotely
  • Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
  • An interview with the unit manager is part of the hiring process
