Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift position in a CT Scanner unit at a facility in Laredo, TX, requiring ARRT registration and CT registration with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
- CT Scanner unit within a freestanding emergency department (FSED) setting, with expected initial assignment at the main facility
- 9-bed unit
- Patient population includes both inpatients and outpatients
- Procedures include CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures, as well as basic radiographic, fluoroscopy, portable, C-arm, and OR imaging procedures
- Studies performed with and without contrast media
- EMR: Cerner
- Floating required
- Call required
- Block scheduling possible
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
- ARRT certification required
- Registration in CT required
- MRT/TMB (Texas) license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification
- No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- Graduated from an AMA-accredited radiologic technology program
- Proficiency in surgical/sterile procedures and cross-sectional anatomy
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform routine diagnostic CT scanning, basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging under the direction of a Radiologist
- Responsibilities include knowledge of CT system processing, surgical/sterile procedures, contrast and non-contrast studies, and cross-sectional anatomy
- Navy blue scrubs required
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
