Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a 13-week afternoon shift assignment in Pittsfield, MA.

Details

• Acute care hospital radiology department setting
• Primarily CT Scan with X-ray (diagnostic radiology) responsibilities also required
• Performs CT scanning as the primary function, with general radiography as a secondary responsibility
• 8-hour afternoon shifts, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• On-call shifts are possible
• Meditech Expanse is the EMR; experience is highly preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of current, hands-on CT experience required
• Active ARRT (CT) certification required
• Active AHA BLS required
• Massachusetts Radiology license required (if applicable)
• X-ray/diagnostic radiology experience required in addition to CT
• Proficiency with PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, DR, CT, and PACs applications
• Ability to perform IV insertion and contrast injections
• Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high-stress, work-intensive environment
• Must have personal reliable transportation
• CT Skills Checklist current within 1 year required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform a wide variety of technical imaging procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking
• May be assigned supervisory or instructional responsibilities for department personnel as directed by lead or management
• Practices infection control in compliance with departmental, hospital, and OSHA standards, and completes annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens and infection control
• This is an 8-hour shift position; candidates who require 10- or 12-hour shift accommodations will not be considered
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO of no more than 5 days may be requested; all RTO must be submitted at the time of profile upload, as requests made after submission or during/after interview will not be approved
