Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level III Trauma acute care hospital in Orangeburg, SC, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Level III Trauma acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
- CT unit serving inpatient, emergency, and scheduled interventional cases across patient populations ranging from infant through geriatric
- Procedures include CT examinations, IV starts, contrast administration, biopsies, and PACS system use
- 3x12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- On-call rotation Monday through Thursday shared among all technologists
- No floating between service lines or sister facilities
- Epic is the preferred EMR
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- SCRQSA (CT) — South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association registration required
- AHA BLS required
- SC state license required if applicable; candidates with a pending license will be considered but must have an active license prior to start
- Proficiency with IV placement, contrast administration, biopsies, and PACS system
- Radiation badge required — must be provided by the candidate's agency
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols under general supervision, with results interpreted by a physician
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the first day
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted upfront; approval is based on facility needs
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties, with peak activity in August and September
- Parking is provided at no cost
