Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with 1+ year of experience for a weekend day shift assignment in a hospital radiology department in Lafayette, CO.

Details

• Hospital-based radiology department setting
• Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures including patient transfers, positioning, immobilization, and contrast administration
• 12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• Weekends required
• On-call is required for this assignment
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiology required
• ARRT (R) registration required
• CT certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA only; must not expire prior to assignment start)
• Active state license required if applicable
• A personal radiation dosimeter badge is required for this assignment; candidates are encouraged to provide an existing badge from a prior employer or assignment when available
• Proficiency with image quality evaluation, radiation safety measures (ALARA), sterile technique, and infection prevention
• Effective communication and strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic X-ray procedures, operating X-ray imaging equipment, coordinating examinations for timeliness and quality, submitting images to the Radiologist for interpretation, and preparing and administering contrast per Radiologist protocol
• Also responsible for supervising and evaluating student radiographers in the clinical setting
• Follows ALARA radiation safety measures to ensure patient and staff safety
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
