Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with 1+ year of experience for a weekend day shift assignment in a hospital radiology department in Lafayette, CO.
Details
- Hospital-based radiology department setting
- Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures including patient transfers, positioning, immobilization, and contrast administration
- 12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- Weekends required
- On-call is required for this assignment
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiology required
- ARRT (R) registration required
- CT certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA only; must not expire prior to assignment start)
- Active state license required if applicable
- A personal radiation dosimeter badge is required for this assignment; candidates are encouraged to provide an existing badge from a prior employer or assignment when available
- Proficiency with image quality evaluation, radiation safety measures (ALARA), sterile technique, and infection prevention
- Effective communication and strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
- Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing diagnostic X-ray procedures, operating X-ray imaging equipment, coordinating examinations for timeliness and quality, submitting images to the Radiologist for interpretation, and preparing and administering contrast per Radiologist protocol
- Also responsible for supervising and evaluating student radiographers in the clinical setting
- Follows ALARA radiation safety measures to ensure patient and staff safety
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
