Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week contract at an acute care hospital recognized among America's 100 Best for Coronary Intervention.
Details
- Work in a cardiac cath lab at a 150-bed acute care hospital recognized among America's 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention by Healthgrades
- Procedures include coronary diagnostic and intervention, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, permanent pacemaker implantation, and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias
- Daily caseload of 8–12 cases
- Charts using Epic (experience required)
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekend requirements
- On-call required
- No routine floating within the unit; however, travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required
- ARRT certification required (RCIS not accepted)
- Fluoroscopy Permit required — candidates with a pending permit will be considered provided they have already applied at the time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Epic EMR experience required
- License required if applicable
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Scrubs are provided for Cath Lab staff
- Orientation is approximately 30 hours
- A block schedule may be considered upon request
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at the time of consideration — post-offer RTO requests are subject to denial
- Free parking is provided on the first day; assignment parking details are provided during orientation
- The facility offers housing assistance, including access to a realtor, for travelers who need help finding accommodations
- Located in Eureka, CA, within easy driving distance of 7 state and national parks, including the Redwood Highway and the rugged California coast
