Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of acute OR experience and ortho/spine/joint replacement expertise.
Details
- Operating Room unit with 29 beds
- Staffing includes 1 Charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 2 Techs, and a clinical coordinator per shift
- Patient ratio of 3:1
- Uses x-ray, preoperative, anesthesiology, lab, and EKG equipment
- Meditech EMR
- 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Rotating weekends possible
- On-call requirements include 2 weeknight calls (7p-7a), 2 weekend 24-hour calls, and 1 holiday 24-hour call within a 4-week period
- Procedures performed include joint replacement, ENT, ortho, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic, and plastic surgery
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years current experience in an acute OR setting required
- Ortho, spine, and joint replacement experience required, including knee and hip replacement
- Must be able to scrub and circulate, with knowledge of all service lines
- PALS and CNOR preferred
- Prior charge experience preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Florida requires two professional references
Additional Information
- Responsible for observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
- Navy blue or royal blue scrubs required; surgical-type scrubs not accepted
- Facility is a 488-bed acute care hospital with Joint Commission Gold Seal accreditation
- Comprehensive stroke center with Blue Distinction recognition and cardiology/arrhythmia specialty centers
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and critical-thinking candidates with strong bedside manner preferred
