Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position in Baton Rouge, LA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and on-call availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Details

• Hospital-based Cath Lab setting in Baton Rouge, LA
• Standard shift is 8:00–16:30 (5x8 days), with flexibility required for earlier or later procedures
• Call responsibilities are divided equally among team members, typically two nights per week and every other weekend, covering all after-hours, weekends, and holidays
• Weekend on-call spans from close of business Friday through department opening Monday morning, with an expectation to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of being notified
• May be asked to assist in the IR (Interventional Radiology) department when not needed in the Cardiac Cath Lab
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Louisiana RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Competency in performing conscious sedation and monitoring and recording procedures in the IR department required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
• In the event of an emergency, staff may be assigned to an emergency team and expected to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve on the relief team
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
