Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care (LTC) position in Vestal, NY, with a focus on Alzheimer's and dementia patient care and a valid NY state RN license required.

Details

• State/government-run long-term care center offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care
• LTC unit serving an Alzheimer's and dementia patient population
• 300-bed facility with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:18–20
• 8-hour shifts, 4–5 days per week; evening shift (2:30 PM – 10:45 PM)
• NOC shift is slower paced
• Every other weekend required upon center request
• 16-week contract
• Charting system: PointClickCare (PCC); experience not required
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active NY State RN license required; no license violations allowed
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required; candidates with recent rehab, med/surg, or other hospital experience will also be considered
• Proof of NY RN license required for consideration

• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO will not be approved after an offer is made
• Shift cannot be changed once an offer has been accepted
• Cannot take every holiday off; some holiday coverage is required
• All call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours advance notice
• Upon offer acceptance, Relias training modules will be sent via email within 48 hours — check spam/junk folders and complete all modules no later than 3 days before the assignment start date
• Compliance process takes approximately 1.5–2 weeks
• No medication pass responsibilities for this role
• Dress code: any solid color scrubs and closed-toe shoes

• Start dates are on a rolling every-2-week schedule based on orientation
