Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital in California, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 1.5 years of Cath Lab experience.

Details

• Cath Lab unit within a 320-bed acute care hospital
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• On-call required: 2 nights per week (post-shift) plus 1 weekend every 2 weeks, totaling 7 on-call days per pay period
• Every other weekend required, with the possibility of additional weekends to meet unit needs
• Floating between all facilities within the state is expected; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Charting is performed in Epic (required) — note: the job description references Meditech but Epic is confirmed as the required EMR
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (pending license not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of Cath Lab RN experience required; 2 years strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Active professional license required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
• RTO must be submitted upfront; scheduling changes requested after submission or offer may be denied and could risk contract termination
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Royal blue scrubs required for RN staff
