Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with pediatric experience for a night shift position at a pediatric specialty facility in Johnston, Iowa.

Details

• Pediatric specialty facility focused on complex neurological and developmental diagnoses
• Patient diagnoses include cerebral palsy (CP), spinal cord injury, birth injury, motor vehicle accidents, spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), Trisomy 21, and Rett syndrome
• Specialized equipment includes CPT machine, Volara, MetaNeb, cough assist, ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and tracheostomies
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• CRT or RRT credential required
• Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Pediatric experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Valid state respiratory therapy license required if applicable
• Experience with specialized respiratory equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, tracheostomies, and airway clearance devices
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

• Provide respiratory therapy services to pediatric patients with complex neurological and developmental conditions
