Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with outpatient experience for a 13-week travel contract in Vail, AZ, with first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Outpatient physical therapy setting
- Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- Treats a variety of outpatient PT patients via physician referral or direct access
- Caseload includes injured workers, post-offer testing, work hardening, functional capacity evaluations, and ergonomic assessments
- Responsibilities include supervising PT assistants and PT technicians per the established plan of care
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
- Active Arizona PT license required prior to start date; proof of pending licensure may be accepted — license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with modalities and therapeutic exercise equipment preferred
Additional Information
- Duties include evaluating and treating patients, establishing plans of care, and supervising PT assistants and technicians
- Role involves performing post-offer employment testing (e.g., WorkSTEPS, APET), Work Hardening Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and ergonomic/job analysis assessments
- Clinician is expected to communicate regularly with referring physicians and rehab nurses regarding patient progress
- Some involvement in business development and marketing to referral sources, industries, and case managers when patient load allows
- Community outreach and participation in local events representing the clinic may be expected
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of initial consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
