Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a cardiovascular operating room travel position requiring scrub skills for open heart cases and a minimum of 3 years of CVOR experience.

Details

• Position is based in the CVOR unit of a main hospital campus, with the ability to float to the Main OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled
• Patient population includes adult open heart surgery cases: CABG, and valve procedures (aortic, mitral, and pulmonic)
• Additional procedures include TAVR, ECMO, laser lead extractions, and implantable cardiac device support
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• On-call requirement of 32 hours per month
• Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR experience required
• Scrub experience for open CVOR cases required; circulate and TAVR experience highly preferred
• Proficiency with Impella and HeartMate devices required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required
• Former employees of the RWJBH health system (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment

• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers will be considered, though prior travel nursing experience is highly preferred
• Local candidates are accepted
• Any schedule or time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being extended
• Background checks with open or active hits will not be accepted
