Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) with inpatient rehab experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital in San Antonio, TX.
Details
- 36-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting
- Physical Therapy department serving adult and geriatric patients
- Common diagnoses include stroke, debility, hip fractures, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Equipment includes Lite Gait, walkers, Sci Fit, and treatment tables
- EMR: Rehab Connect
- Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Weekend assistance may occasionally be needed on a case-by-case basis
- No on-call requirements
- No float requirements
- 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Current AHA BLS/CPR certification required
- Evaluation and treatment skills required
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Primary responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of patients recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, and other debilitating conditions
- Navy scrubs required
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
