Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit position requiring at least one year of Med/Surg Pediatrics experience in a Level 1 trauma setting.
Details
- Inpatient hospital setting on a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit
- Level 1 trauma setting with a medical/surgical pediatric patient population
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Oncology experience is a plus
- APHON certification is a plus
Requirements
- Active RN license (OK state or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
- Required certifications (AHA-issued only): BLS and PALS
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Pediatrics experience required, including experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
- Up to 1 year of travel nursing experience is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
- Basic computer skills required
- Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating patient care with physicians and support staff
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract; extensions are limited to one time, for a total of 26 weeks
- Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical documentation) must be initiated immediately upon offer — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
