Description
American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with an active MD license and ASHA CCC-SLP for a school-based, full-time contract position serving students ages 10–20 with Autism and related diagnoses.
Details
- School-based setting serving students approximately ages 10–20 years old
- Caseload includes students on both certificate and diploma track programs diagnosed with Autism, comorbidities, and social emotional/psychological diagnoses
- Caseload includes both speaking students and speech-generating device (SGD) users
- Approximately 20 IEP service hours per week, with 10–15 hours of direct therapy
- Services delivered in a mix of individual and group sessions at the provider's discretion
- Full-time, 40-hour work week
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Maryland (MD) SLP license required if applicable
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related comorbidities
- Familiarity with speech-generating devices (SGDs)
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group formats
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals for a diverse student population
- Support students who use speech-generating devices as part of their communication systems
- Address speech, language, social communication, and AAC needs within a school-based environment
