Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Intermediate Care Unit position at an acute care hospital in Alton, IL, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit in a 158-bed acute care hospital setting
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
- Patient ratios of 1:5–6
- On-call responsibilities are required
- Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
- Every other weekend required
- Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required (pending IL license may be acceptable — note status when applying)
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy scrubs required
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Local candidates (within 75 miles of the facility) are not eligible for this position
