Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU position at a Level IV children's hospital, requiring at least 1 year of Level III or IV NICU experience and Epic proficiency on a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• Work in a 70-bed Level IV NICU at a 153-bed children's hospital
• Patient population includes premature infants and neonates with diagnoses such as RDS, chronic lung disease, and post-surgical conditions
• Equipment used includes oscillator, Bunnell Jet, Draeger, NOx Box INO, ABG (GEM), Bubble CPAP, and HHFNC
• EMR: Epic (required)
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend rotation required, with the option to work additional weekends
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Current RRT credential
• Active WA state Respiratory Therapist license required — license must be in hand or have documented proof of application submitted 6+ weeks prior (license required if applicable)
• Current certifications: NRP and BLS
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level III or IV NICU
• Proficiency with oscillator, Bunnell Jet, Draeger, NOx Box INO, ABG (GEM), Bubble CPAP, and HHFNC
• Epic experience required
• First-time travelers considered with a minimum of 5 years total RT experience and at least 2 recent years in a Level III or IV NICU
• Two supervisor-level references required prior to start; one reference may be submitted at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal patients including those with prematurity, RDS, chronic lung disease, and surgical needs
• Interview process includes a clinical interview via SimpliFi followed by unit final approval
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable, except maroon or spice
