Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Adult Medical Oncology telemetry unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and prior oncology background.

Details

  • Work in an adult medical oncology telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) unit within a large academic hospital setting
  • Patient population includes adult oncology, bone marrow transplant (BMT), CAR-T therapy, hematologic and solid tumor malignancies, and acute care telemetry patients
  • Chemotherapy is administered on the unit; travel nurses are not required to administer chemo
  • Day shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Alaris pump experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of current RN experience required
  • Prior oncology nursing background required
  • Telemetry experience required
  • At least 1–2 prior travel assignments required
  • Experience in a large hospital (500+ bed facility) required
  • Chemotherapy certification (ONS or equivalent) preferred
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Care for adult patients with complex oncological conditions including bone marrow transplants, CAR-T therapy, and hematologic and solid tumor malignancies in a high-acuity telemetry environment
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
