Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Oncology unit position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring active chemotherapy certification and Epic EMR experience.
Details
- Oncology unit within a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
- Level II Trauma Center
- Schedule options of 3x12 or 4x12-hour day shifts (0700–1930), candidate's choice
- Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
- Floating to other Med/Surg units required as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
- Current BLS, NIHSS, and Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Oncology nursing experience required
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this position
- No prior disciplinary history on nursing license
- Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Flu vaccine is mandatory; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccine with booster required; religious or medical exemptions are considered
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
- Travelers are expected to participate in emergency response activities, including natural disasters, as needed
