Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Oncology unit position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring active chemotherapy certification and Epic EMR experience.

Details

  • Oncology unit within a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Schedule options of 3x12 or 4x12-hour day shifts (0700–1930), candidate's choice
  • Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
  • Floating to other Med/Surg units required as needed
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Free parking available on-site

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
  • Current BLS, NIHSS, and Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Oncology nursing experience required
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this position
  • No prior disciplinary history on nursing license
  • Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Flu vaccine is mandatory; declinations are not accepted
  • COVID vaccine with booster required; religious or medical exemptions are considered
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
  • Travelers are expected to participate in emergency response activities, including natural disasters, as needed
