Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Vascular Interventional Radiology unit requiring ARRT(R) certification and neuro experience.
Details
- Heart & Vascular Institute setting caring for patients requiring invasive cardiology or invasive radiology studies
- 4x9 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Call only rotation for weekend and holiday coverage
- EPIC charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- ARRT Radiography (R) certification required
- IEMA Radiography License required if applicable
- Neuro experience required
- Previous Radiologic Technology experience in a procedural setting preferred
- Experience with Interventional Neurology preferred
- Ability to maintain a sterile field and manage procedural supplies
- Manual dexterity to handle small supplies
Additional Information
- Assist physicians with invasive cardiology and radiology procedures including peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization, and venous thrombectomy
- Perform dialysis-related procedures such as AV fistulas, tunneled dialysis catheters, and peritoneal dialysis catheters
- Perform tube access and changes including G-tube, Chole, Neph, Biliary, Abscess, and SPC
- Neuro procedures such as cerebral arterial/venous work and kyphoplasty are ideal experience
- Administer contrast material via IV line or venipuncture and monitor for allergic reactions
- Explain procedures to patients and provide comfort, safety, and support throughout
- Document patient care and procedural details accurately
- Assist in training new staff as needed
- Perform on-call duties and variable shifts to meet department needs
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Contingent workers may not exceed 1 year of continuous assignment before requiring a 6-month break in service
