Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Mayfield, KY, requiring L&D experience and multiple required certifications for a 13-week day shift contract.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a community hospital setting (8-bed unit)
• Patient population includes OB, nursery, occasional GYN surgery, and occasional cosmetic/reconstructive procedures (abdominoplasty, breast reduction)
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN Standards
• EMR system: MediTech
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed
• On-call required as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kentucky or a compact RN license valid for Kentucky required
• Minimum 1 year of OB/L&D nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, and PALS — all must be AHA-issued and in hand prior to start
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere while on assignment
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but L&D and charge experience is required
