Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Mayfield, KY, requiring OB/L&D experience and multiple active certifications for a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting (8-bed L&D unit)
• Patient population includes obstetric, nursery, occasional gynecologic surgery, and occasional cosmetic surgery patients (breast reduction/abdominoplasty)
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• EMR: MediTech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Kentucky (KY state or Compact license) required
• Minimum 1 year of OB/L&D nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, BLS (AHA), HWC, NRP, and PALS — all must be current and in hand prior to start
• AHA-issued certifications required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
• Cannot be employed full time elsewhere

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Any scrub color is acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates whose permanent address is within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for the travel pay rate
