Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Inpatient Overflow unit in Urbana, IL, requiring an IL RN license and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.
Details
- Inpatient overflow Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Weekend shifts as needed
- Holiday shifts as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Candidate interviews are conducted by facility leadership
- Conducts bedside shift report, hourly rounding, care plan documentation, and patient education
- Responsible for admission and discharge processes, including observation status patients
- Delegates and validates patient care tasks with healthcare colleagues
- Administers medications using the Five Rights and maintains safety protocols including fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, and isolation precautions
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at any Carle Health location for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
