Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, requiring PICC line management experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- CVICU unit within a 562-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet facility
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Every third weekend required
- Floating within scope is required; travelers may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Charting is done in Cerner (experience preferred)
- Block scheduling may be available — connect with the manager to discuss scheduling requests
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius requirement
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required; candidates currently in the application process with an ETA are also eligible
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; AHA and Red Cross accepted — RQI AHA cards are not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU or relevant RN experience required
- PICC line management and IV start experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must be prepared to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- RTO of 5 days or fewer is ideal; requests beyond 5 days require facility approval
- Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Travel pairs are not accepted
- Solid-color scrubs required
- Free parking is available on-site with a permit obtained during orientation
