Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, with night shift scheduling and PICC line management experience required.

Details

• CVICU in a 562-bed, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:08 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week; open to 4x12 scheduling
• Every third weekend required
• Charting in Cerner (experience preferred)
• Floating within scope is required, including to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Block scheduling requests may be accommodated — connect with manager to discuss

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; candidates actively in the application process with an ETA will be considered
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU or relevant RN experience required
• PICC line management and IV start experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• RTO of up to 5 days is ideally the maximum; requests beyond 5 days require facility approval
• Scrubs may be any solid color
• Parking is available at no cost via permit, obtained during orientation
