Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift IMC-level Surgical/Urology/Thoracic unit position requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience and prior IMC/PCU experience.

Details

• Work setting is an adult inpatient unit providing acute, telemetry, and intermediate care (IMC) level services
• Specialty unit focuses on surgical, urology, and thoracic patient populations
• Provides pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care on the unit
• Continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring are utilized
• Epic EMR used (experience preferred)
• Schedule is 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Floating required as needed to areas of like skill set within the 11 West IMC and Med/Surg levels
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of current RN experience required
• IMC/PCU nursing experience required
• Surgical patient care experience required
• Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed count) required
• Dysrhythmia management skills required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• 1–2 prior travel assignments preferred
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• If your resume lists PCU experience, be prepared to specify the type of patients cared for (e.g., surgical)
