Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care Magnet hospital in Orange, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active NMTCB or ARRT certification.
Details
- Work in the Nuclear Medicine department of a 426-bed acute care Magnet-designated hospital
- PET scan experience is preferred; on-site training is available for qualified candidates
- Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM — no weekends or holidays required
- Optional call shifts are available but not required; call hours are Mon–Fri 4:30 AM–10:00 PM and Sat–Sun 6:00 AM–10:00 PM with a 60-minute response time
- Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
- Free parking available on site
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
- Active NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification required
- Current CA state license required (pending license not accepted)
- BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies, including PET scans
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- First-time travelers will not be considered; candidates must have at least 2 years of experience
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered but should inquire about the local rate
- All RTO must be disclosed at the time of consideration; scheduling requests related to outside employment will not be accommodated
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required for consideration
- SSN and DOB are required for consideration
