Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU/Telemetry night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry department of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- 13-week assignment length
- May be required to float to a different floor or to another campus
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/Telemetry nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Altera charting system experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Deliver individualized nursing care to patients using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
- Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and outcomes
- Must be well-versed in a broad range of medical conditions due to the variety of cases encountered
- Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana testing; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
- Candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products, prior to arrival onsite
- Must reside 150 miles or more from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
