Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level III Trauma, Acute Care Hospital, requiring ARRT(R) certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- 286-bed Level III Trauma, Acute Care Hospital
- X-Ray department with float coverage to OR, Ortho, Fluoro, Inpatient, Outpatient, and ER
- Adult and/or pediatric patient population
- 3x12-hour day shifts, Saturday through Monday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- No on-call rotation required
- Epic EMR (experience preferred)
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience
- ARRT(R), SCRQSA, BLS, and CPR certifications required — AHA certifications only
- Fluoroscopy and OR experience required
- Radiation badge required — must be provided by the traveler's agency
- SC state license required if applicable; candidates with a pending license may be considered but must be active prior to start
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs radiographic procedures requiring sound anatomical positioning knowledge, technical competency, and the ability to work with minimum supervision
- Applies ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis across adult and/or pediatric populations
- Completion of online modules required prior to start date (approximately 4 hours)
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Former permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and are subject to facility approval
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
- No parking cost at this facility
