Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT(R) certification, and fluoroscopy and OR experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level III Trauma acute care hospital in South Carolina.
Details
- Level III Trauma, acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
- X-Ray department with coverage across OR, Ortho, Fluoroscopy, Inpatient, Outpatient, and ER
- Adult and/or pediatric patient population
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call rotation required, including weekends
- Floating within clinical scope required to cover OR, Ortho, Fluoro, Inpatient, Outpatient, and ER as needed
- Epic EMR — experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray)
- ARRT(R) and SCRQSA certifications required
- BLS and CPR (AHA only) required
- Fluoroscopy and OR experience required
- South Carolina license required if applicable — candidates with license in hand are prioritized; pending licenses may be considered
- Radiation badge required — must be provided by the agency, as the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs radiographic procedures requiring sound knowledge of anatomical positioning and physiology, with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
- All RTO must be disclosed upfront — requests of 7 days or fewer (excluding holidays) may be approved without facility review; larger requests or holiday RTO require facility approval and may delay the process
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- Free parking on-site
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
