Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and pre-op experience with both pediatric and adult patients.
Details
- Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU) in a hospital setting
- Handles a wide range of surgical specialties including plastics, orthopedics, GYN, neurosurgery/spine, urology, ENT, vascular, bariatric, colorectal, and breast surgery
- Patient population spans pediatrics through geriatrics
- Pre-op ratios of 8–10 patients per shift in a fast-paced environment
- Staggered start times: Pre-op shifts run 5:30 AM–4:00 PM (Mon–Wed/Fri) and 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (Thursdays); Phase II shifts run 8:00 AM–6:30 PM (Mon–Wed/Fri) and 9:00 AM–7:30 PM (Thursdays)
- 10-hour day shifts
- No weekend, holiday, float, or on-call requirements
- Epic EMR used
Requirements
- Active RN license — Maryland (MD) or Compact license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Pre-op experience with both pediatric and adult patients required
- Experience in a comparable large facility (500+ bed count) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide pre-operative and Phase II post-operative care across a broad range of surgical specialties
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
