Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cath Lab/Cardiology position in Olympia Fields, IL, requiring at least one year of cardiovascular lab or critical care experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Position is based in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab within a Cardiology department
- Serves adult and geriatric patient populations undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures
- Day shift schedule, 0800–1630
- On-call rotation required every 2nd–3rd weekend, approximately 1–3 times per week
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) required
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular/Cath Lab performing cardiac procedures, or in a Critical Care setting
- BSN preferred
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
- Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP) required — can be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, a similar platform, or the free CDC resource
Additional Information
- Deliver patient care throughout all phases of cardiovascular procedures, addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and provide continuous updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is properly calibrated and ready for use
- Manage case-specific supplies and inventory to support efficient Cath Lab workflow
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient condition throughout time in the Cardiovascular Lab
- Participate in performance improvement and CQI initiatives
