Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT registration and BLS certification for a 12-hour night shift contract position in Charleston, SC.

Details

• Hospital-based CT Scan department
• 12-hour night shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• 2-3 call shifts every 6 weeks that may require floating to sister facilities nearby
• Charting via Cerner (experience preferred)

Requirements

• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT CT certification preferred
• Active SC or compact state license required if applicable
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Allied Health or CT program preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, lift and move patients, and push or pull up to 50 lbs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
• Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations preferred

Additional Information

• Perform CT exams under the medical supervision of certified radiologists following established protocols
• Assist radiologists during procedures and provide clinical supervision and education to student radiologic technologists
• Ensure correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system
• Practice radiation safety in accordance with ALARA principles and established DHEC and TJC guidelines
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold hospital policies and safety procedures
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return after a mandatory 30–60 day break, with a maximum of one calendar year of continuous assignment from the initial start date
• Holiday coverage may be required based on departmental needs
