Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a valid Idaho or compact RN license for a 13-week night shift contract.
Details
- 48-bed Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
- Diverse patient population including sepsis, CIWA, COPD, AMS/confusion, post-op, AKI, trauma, respiratory failure, bowel obstruction, pyelonephritis, cardiac conditions, diabetes, GI conditions, isolation, and SI with medical indications
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Floating required based on demonstrated competencies
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Active Idaho RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required; 2 years preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care across a broad acuity range using the nursing process for patients from infancy through geriatrics
- Prior permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
- Travel pairs or groups will not be considered for this position
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
