Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring an active FL or compact license, TNCC, and the ability to float across multiple hospital locations.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling cycle
• On-call required on an as-needed basis
• Floating required to all 4 system locations: Holmes, Viera, Cape Canaveral, and Palm Bay
• EMR system: Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license — no pending licenses accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of ED nursing experience
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• 2 professional references from authority figures (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) within the past year required for consideration
• Previous staff, employees, or contracted travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius requirement
• All requested time off must be finalized and submitted upfront; RTO will not be accepted after an offer is made
• Flu vaccine required seasonally (10/31–3/31); medical and religious exemptions accepted
• Solid color scrubs required with matching tops and bottoms; no logos or prints; travelers may provide their own or use facility-provided scrubs
• Time and attendance tracked via Kronos badge system
• Free parking provided with a decal issued at orientation
