Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Oncology unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and an active LA or compact RN license.
Details
- Inpatient oncology unit in a hospital setting
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Patient ratio of 1:6 with an average daily census of 14 patients across 16 rooms
- Night shift schedule: 18:45–07:15 (3x12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required
- Agency/travel staff are pulled first for floating, to similar or lower acuity floors
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active LA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred (AHA where applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
- Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they meet the 2-year acute care experience requirement
- Royal blue scrubs required
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
- Upon accepting an assignment, you may be assigned to an emergency response team and expected to remain at the facility or serve on a relief team during emergency events — candidates uncomfortable with this expectation should not apply
- Local candidates (within 65 miles of the facility) are not eligible for this position
