Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of specialty experience for a cardiac/interventional radiology role requiring scrub and travel experience.

Details

  • Work in the Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures unit
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • On-call required with a 30 minute response time
  • Uses GE Innova IGS, Siemens, fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound equipment
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required (candidates with 1 year experience may be considered if they have neuro and scrub experience)
  • ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (VI) preferred
  • Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
  • Scrub experience required
  • Travel experience required
  • Neuro IR experience a plus but not required
  • Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Compact or LA license required in hand upon submittal
  • Proficiency in venous access, central line and PICC care, vascular closure systems, and a broad range of IR procedures including angiography, embolization, ablation, stent placement, and biopsy

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include procedural support such as EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, room circulating, maintaining sterile fields, and recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Perform a wide range of vascular, genitourinary, neurological, and abdominal/pelvic interventional procedures
  • Maintain and stock equipment, supplies, and PACS system inventory
  • Isolation precautions and PPE use required
  • Lead tech experience and Rapid Response/Code team participation preferred
  • Orientation held five days a week
  • Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at the facility within the past year
  • Facility does not accept local travelers; candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility
  • RTO must be discussed during the interview process
  • First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience and scrub requirements
