Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist for a night shift position in a hospital-based CT Scan department, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• CT Scan department within an acute care hospital setting
• 18-bed imaging unit staffed by radiologists, radiology techs, ultrasound techs, MRI techs, and CT techs
• Night shift staffing includes a charge RN, on-call team, and 3–4 techs depending on volume
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on patient stability
• All GE equipment in use, including MRI units, scanners, cameras, x-ray, and fluoroscopy; facility recently added a new 1.2 million dollar state-of-the-art CT scanner
• EMR: Meditech (experience strongly preferred)
• 4x10 hour night shifts, Wednesday through Saturday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Tech experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
• ARRT (CT) and BLS required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with GE equipment strongly preferred
• Meditech EMR experience strongly preferred
• Two professional references required for Florida placements
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Procedures include CT scans, MRI, body scanning, and x-rays, with a focus on producing diagnostic images of bones, organs, and tissues
• Candidates must possess strong communication, medical/anatomical knowledge, and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to multitask and collaborate with a variety of physicians, radiologists, and patients
• Facility is a certified comprehensive Stroke Center and recipient of the American Heart Association Gold Plus Achievement Award
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• First-time travelers are not indicated as eligible for this position
