Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, requiring interventional cardiac cath lab experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- 13-week contract in the Cath Lab unit of a 562-bed acute care hospital
- Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility
- 5-room Cath Lab unit with an average daily census of 25
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (0630–1900)
- Requires working 2–3 weekends per contract
- On-call required as needed
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required of all travelers
- Charting via Cerner EMR
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Free parking available with a permit obtained during orientation
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of interventional cardiac Cath Lab experience required
- Required procedure experience: circulating procedures, diagnostic catheterizations (adult), left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Required medication experience: procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Required clinical skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Cerner EMR experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidate must be prepared to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract
- RTO of 5 days or fewer is ideal; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
- Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Travel pairs are not accepted by this facility
