Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Joint Commission-accredited community hospital and regional referral center in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Details

• 40-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit within a 171-bed community hospital and Level 3 Trauma center
• Adult and geriatric patient population including total joint, surgical, ACS, CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GIB patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM, 3x12s
• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• Scheduled shifts may occasionally be flexed to on-call as needed (up to twice per contract); no routine on-call scheduling
• Floating to other units (IMC, ED) is expected
• EMR: Medhost
• Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicell drug dispensing cabinets, and Zoll defibrillators
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA-issued) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Recent acute care experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio
• ADN or higher required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Black scrubs (top and bottom) required; open-toed shoes are not permitted
• Preceptor and charge nurse experience is a plus
• Weekly orientation provided
• No block schedule requests
• Hospital is located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — near Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), and the Grand Canyon (3.5 hrs)
