Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with inpatient rehabilitation experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute rehabilitation hospital in Tacoma, WA.

Details

  • 60-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced severe injury or illness
  • Speech Therapy department serving adult and older adult patient populations
  • Common diagnoses include CVA and neurological conditions
  • Caseload of approximately 6.5 treatments per 8-hour day
  • Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility to shift between 7:00–3:30 or 8:00–4:30
  • One weekend day required per month, with a compensatory day off during the week
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active SLP license (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Inpatient rehabilitation experience required
  • CVA and neurological experience required
  • AHA certifications required
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
  • Scrubs of any color are acceptable
  • Report to the therapy department at 8:00 AM on the first day
