Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in Butte, MT, requiring ARDMS certification and at least 1 year of ultrasound experience.
Details
- Outpatient medical group setting within a radiology/ultrasound department
- Performs general ultrasound examinations across multiple modalities including OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, and vascular
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- After-hours call required, with rotating weekend coverage approximately once per month
- Charting in Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the ultrasound specialty being submitted for
- Current BLS certification (AHA); must not expire prior to assignment start
- ARDMS registration required, including successful completion of one modality-specific registry beyond physics (OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, or vascular)
- RDMS (BR) - Breast Specialty certification from ARDMS required
- Active state license required if applicable
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy supplies and equipment, push and pull gurneys and portable devices, and assist with transporting or ambulating patients
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs ultrasound examinations under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis
- Responsible for proper patient identification, order verification, patient preparation, and image quality review
- Practices sterile technique and infection control protocols, and maintains accurate patient records
- Assists and instructs students and radiology techs in exam protocols, positioning, and equipment use
- Permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
