Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization, EP, IR, and neuro intervention for a 13-week contract at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Alaska.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in Alaska — Magnet facility, Level II Trauma Center, and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska with 407 staffed beds
- Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath, STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, structural heart procedures (PFO, TAVR, MitraClip), CRM device implants, and neurointervention
- IR procedures include lines, drains, embolizations, upper/lower extremity interventions, fistulas, visceral angio/intervention, and stroke thrombectomy
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Some Saturdays are required as part of the regular 4-shift weekly schedule, not as additional shifts
- One on-call shift required per week and every 4th weekend on call
- May float to IR and EP within clinical scope to meet facility needs
- Charting in Epic (required)
- Parking is free
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Required experience in EP, IR, vascular, monitoring, and neuro intervention
- Active BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) or RCIS certifications required
- RCIS or ARRT required for Cath Lab
- Epic EMR experience required
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Time off is approved on an individual basis upon offer; only one RTO request is permitted per 13-week assignment
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Preferred skills and experience include CTOs, peripheral interventions, venous access, rhythm interpretation, temporary LVAD support, Philips X-Ray System, a variety of atherectomy and thrombectomy devices, McKesson for Cath Lab, and MacLab/Cardio Lab for EP
